ENTRY-LEVEL TRAINING

Entry-Level Scuba Diving Training

Learning to dive is about more than earning a certification. It is about developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy diving safely and independently within the limits of your training.

We train new scuba divers according to the internationally recognised standards of PADI. Every required skill and area of knowledge is carefully explained, practised and mastered before you progress.

But meeting the certification requirements is only the starting point.

Once the required skills have been mastered, we continue developing your buoyancy, control, awareness and practical diving ability. Our aim is not simply to help you pass a course, but to prepare you for the real diving adventures that follow it.

Your PADI Open Water Diver certification should be a solid foundation you can confidently build upon.

PADI CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicable PADI standards and required performance requirements must be satisfied. Exact requirements are published only from verified standards.

PELARON DEVELOPMENT EMPHASIS

After required skills are mastered, PELARON may continue developing buoyancy, control, awareness and practical diving ability.

HOW PELARON TRAINS

Training principles.

Four centrally managed policies shape equipment, cohort design, private delivery and the standard of education across applicable programmes.

Equipment Included

PELARON diving-course information is structured around suitable required diving equipment being included within the applicable regional price.

Students may use their own suitable equipment, subject to PELARON approval.

How any unused internal rental value is handled is confirmed by the applicable regional operation. Regional pricing and commercial arrangements are not published on PELARON.org.

Group Size

PADI standards establish the absolute maximum permitted training ratio. PELARON will never exceed this limit.

PELARON establishes a separate operational maximum cohort size for each course, which may be lower than the PADI maximum.

The PELARON maximum is determined by:

Training quality
Instructor capacity
Available PELARON equipment
Cylinder and gas capacity
Fill turnaround
Pool and open-water logistics
Environmental and site conditions
Transport requirements where applicable
Course-specific supervision requirements

Actual cohort sizes may be reduced further when conditions require it.

VIP Training

VIP training means either:

Individual training — dedicated instruction for one diver.
Closed-group training — a private cohort formed by the customer, to which no outside students are added.

Training Standard

Meeting PADI’s required performance standards is the minimum requirement.

Where appropriate, PELARON training continues beyond minimum certification performance to develop practical competence, confidence, sound diving habits and readiness for the diving activities permitted by the resulting certification.
